Q.
Unspoken and often unwritten set of informal
rules that govern individual behaviors in a
group are called "Group Norms". Without group norms,
individuals would have no understanding of how to act in social situations.
How this "Group Norms" are helpful in a project management:
1. Reduce the amount of conflict among that group.
2. It is a cultural diversity and people concerned will act friendly together
3. Solve the unforeseen issues among group members
4. It maintains social activity while members are at Company Social Responsibility (CSR)

Hi Saket, A, B, and D.Saket,
Hi Saket, A, B, and D.
Saket, seems I am not going anywhere much with my progress. My scores are tipping down. From 80's to mid 70's and now you just calculated a 72%. Mt exam is on Mon, what should i do ? I took simplilearn test and to my surprise scored 72% :(. Did pmzilla bonus 75 questions and scored just 50%.
Previously my scores were in late 70's to 80's. Pmstudy 1 was 80%. I have my exam approaching in just 5 days, my plan is to revise the pmbook, notes, formula and take one last mock test. Out of the 3 pmstudy tests (2-4), which one would you suggest for a final prep. And any last minute advice on what change i should be making to improve ?
Thanks, Shweta

Take good rest /good sleep last night , and keep chocolates of your likings etcetraatcetra
Ok last mock test you may go for 4PMSTUDY.but today or tomorrow, not later.
Now your score became 9/11 = 82% , its great sign of success.

Hey Shweta - Please STOP taking any further mock
Hey Shweta,
Please STOP taking any further mock test before you loose further confidence because of PMP exam fear. Take a day break and have some fun time with your loved ones. While having fun keep in mind PMP exam is not a roadblock in career because the worst can happen is that you fail and nothing beyond that. What if, if you fail? Simple, pay the fee again and re-try, that simple.!
I did see some of your post about your mock test performances and I do not see any need for you taking more mock test.
Just relax, read some PMPOK pages like IITO, summery when you feel like, that’s all. You know what, PMI does not put your percentage score unlike mock test, so just worry for the verdict i.e. “Pass” and nothing else.
Wish you good luck for the PMP exam.

Phase to Phase Relationships
Iterative relationship is how different from overlapping relationship while in both the cases consecutive phases overlap within a project life cycle:
A. Because in iterative relationship skilled staff and workers will be the same through the life cycle and in overlapping relationship they must be changed.
B. Because In Iterative relationship, only one phase is planned at a time while second phase planned during execution of first phase and in overlapping relationships all phases are planned initially.
C. In Iterative relationship, phases are undefined and varying largely by scope schedule cost etc and only one phase is planned to start and next phase is planned during the work of first phase and In overlapping relationship, phases may be entirely different in nature but they overlaps.
D. Iterative means repeating of similar phase but not overlapping while overlapping means overlaps but not similar at all.

PHASE TO PHASE RELATIONSHIPS
Here I try my best to elaborate based on pmbok knowledge base
PHASE TO PHASE RELATIONSHIPS
Iterative
Overlapping
1
since work by nature and outcomes remains same, though
scope, schedule, cost, place,
contracts changes, and its successive phases becomes undefined and varying to any extend.
its phases are not similar in their nature and outcomes and they are linked in a sequence and dependent like sequential phases but unlike starting of second after one, it can overlap,
2
one phase is planned and executed,
when 1st phase in execution 2nd phase is planned.
here since phases are entirely different in nature hence they can be either planned earlier or later
3
staff, vendors and workforce may repeated same as nature of work remains same.
Staff , vender, workforce will change
as per the change in nature of work
4
Example : research program , there is no clarity for next phase.
why it is iterative , because, research, research research -------its repetition.
Here next phase planning much depend on,
further scope as per results of 1st phase.
for example, construction may
begin when quarter design work completed.
Concept - design- construct -testing -
these are the phases and can be overlapped but not similar in nature. Here you can plan in advance or later
