Time management question

Hey Guys..

Please help me to answer this question.

  1. A schedule activity may begin 10 days before the predecessor activity finishes. This is an example of:
    1. Finish-to-Start
    2. Start-to-Finish
    3. Start-to-Start
    4. Finish-to-Finish

Thanks

Nisha

Finish to start

Hello Deepak,

Thank you for your answer and this is the right answer but If we are saying the "A schedule activity may begin 10 days before the predecessor activity finishes"

Shouldnt it be the answer start to finish becuase in finish to start we can start the next activity only when the predesessor will be finish. We are accelerating the successor activity here.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Regards

Nisha

HI Nisha,

I think Deepak is right here... Its the lead in F-S relation.

i really doubt why it is FS.....why can't it be SS

Activity B can start if A has started ....consider is lead with 10 days

Since the Start of successor is linked to finishing of Predecessor its Finish to start.

In start to Finish -  B can't finish before A starts . This constraint is not imposed in the question.

Thank you..for the clarification..I really appreciate that..

Thank you very much..

Nisha..
