I am a new project manager joined a on going project. I would like to see the definition of project and work which needs to be performed for the project. Which is the Best place to see that?

Project Scope Statement (PSS) constitutes what needs to be done on the project for its completion. PSS holds the answer RD...

But, I was thinking why he can not look into PM Plan with all the baselines and variances to look into the progress of project and how much work is left. PS is also part of PM Plan.
