Brain Dump- Comparing the best

Can someone share their braindumps that they practiced in the 15 min before the exam?

I read some folks doing ITTO and some formula in that time. Maybe those who sat for their PMP can guide us which KA is best to put on the dump sheet.

Please help.

Choudhary Sir,

I have downloaded your Excel notes for PMBOK 4, must say they are very handy and concise summary of PMBOK.

Thanks a ton for sharing these.

Also with PMBOK5 exams coming on this August. Do you plan to upgrade them.

Also if u could suggest any books apart from RITA 8th ed that I may refer.

Regards,
Sankalp

Hi There,

Hi,

I am preparing for my PMP exam and finding it difficult to organize. It would be very helpful if you could send me the dump sheet.

jfranny@me.com

Thanks!!!!

I wrote down Rita's Process Areas 42 steps, all Formulas and Control chart Diagram , 1 to 6 sigma values , Joseph Juran, Deming, Philip Crosby, Maslow, Herzberg, McGregor, David Mccelland's rules during my preparation at home over & over again until I could dump everything in 15 mins during my practice sessions at home.

I also wrote down the ITTOS at a very high level.

On the exam day, I was able to do the same in 15 mins.

That really helped and I was able to pass because of that.

All the Best.

Thanks

sunbek

Hello:  do you happen to have a copy of the brain dump info that you could share?  is it the 4th ed?  How long did it take you to study for test? to take test?  thanks.

 @ wright53562@yahoo.com

Have a great day Rosemary

Hi there how did u write ittos on high level and other question is which control chart did u write thanks

WOW, you all were much better prepared than I was in regards to the brain dump.  I wrote down like 4 things when I sat for the exam this year in May - and PASSED! The tricky thing about the exam is you have to know everything even though half of what you know won't be on the exam. Always better to be over prepared.

You mean you could wrote down all ITTOs?

Dear all,

Why we need to have brain dump? My experience says it is not required at all. ITTO related questions are mainly on situational based so brain dump will not help there. Same thing is for earned value questions.

If you are well prepared for exam, brain dump is not required. It is not possible for us to brain dump whatvever we know and it is also not possible to fill that 'gape' in brain after dumping some material!!!! Brain dumping is necessary only for those who have not understood the concept and just 'memorized' the ITTO, formulas etc.

I was relaxing and after tutorial I immediately started the examination. My take is not to worry about brain dumping, just prepare for exam and start selecting the answers during exam.....

Pradeep Sodha, PMP

Hi Pradeep,

I agree with you on many counts. But here are some reasons that come to my mind why brain dumps are necessary:

1) Many of the practising project managers think practically which is not always as per PMBOK. To pass the PMP, they have to go as per PMBOK only. The brain dump helps one to stick to the PMBOK guidelines.

2) There are lot of things one has to remember to clear PMP, not every one has the same memory abilities, brain dump helps you to put down the important things down in front of you before you start the actual test.

3) As we study and prepare, we create our own tools to make things easier for us. Brain dumps are one of those tools and surely each one has his personal best tools. But still it is an important part of preparing.

Best regards

@chowdary2104:

Instead you keep emailing eveyone your notes, I think it would be better to upload it on a shared directory and share the links in here. So that eveyone has access to it and comment as well.

Kind regrads,
