Project Activities is different from Associated Schedule activities.

Though associated schedule activities means - under respective work packages in wbs dictionary related activities code idenfiers are mentioned, in a bunch.
in one way it is the information of pro activities, but detailed description of pro activities will be in activity list , which is seperately maintained in project documents through - processes define activities to schedule activities.

Check this post http://pmzilla.com/new-question

this is confusing..Anyway thank you for your help.

Associated activities means Which activity comes before performing present activity, which activity comes after performing this present activity. and any more mandatory activities, any preferred sequence activities all of this comes under associated activities.

I love this question. When the WBS is created a WBS Dictionary with the detail of the WBS is created. However, we don't have activities until we break down the lowest level of the WBS, the Work Packages, into activities. So neither the WBS or WBS Dictionary contain activities. This is done as part of the Time Knowledge area.

Associated Schedule activities

Schedule activities is an important study topic in the Time management knowledge area, for the PMP certification exam. Many professionals confuse this topic with that of a work package.

Once these schedule activities are defined, they are sequenced in the order in which they must be performed .The resource requirements and the activity durations are then estimated for these activities. Finally, the project schedule is created which shows when each activity is scheduled to begin and end. The project schedule also shows the planned start date and planned finish date for the overall project.

The entire schedule activities that are scheduled and performed on the project are compiled into a single list of activities called the activity list.

One of the major differences between work packages and schedule activities is that the work packages are deliverable focused, focusing on the scope of the project, while the schedule activities are focused on the work that needs to be done in order to complete the work packages. The activities should include enough detailed information to enable the project team to perform the work.

There also exist a thin line of difference between a WBS and an activity list. Although an activity list is an extension of a work breakdown structure, it is not a part of the work breakdown structure. The WBS belongs to the scope baseline, while the activity list is closely related to the project’s schedule.

This is confusing, but agree with other comments posted regarding differences of Associated Schedule Activities vs. Project Activities.

Nabs,
A lot of these terms are confusing. The WBS dictionary is progressively elaborated. Initially we wouldn't have 'associated schedule activities' as these would be added after the schedule has been developed. Some may be listed in Assumptions or Constraints logs. Don't get too caught up in the details of the PMBOK, focus on what the process means. Think of the processes as labels for what you already do. A lot of the exam questions will be related to 'what do you do/what did you do.' So understanding the process purpose will be invaluable.
