Hi yinqa,

The short answer is Yes, I believe taking PMP will help in your career development.

In my opinion, there are two ways PMP can help your career. First is the most obvious one is having a PMP certification will open up more doors and career options for you. Second is, in the process of taking the PMP you are force to learn, and this will open up new perspective on how your looking at how you are doing your job and harvesting a lot of ideas on how to improve it.
