Answer is C
Free Float is the amount of time activity (C) can be delayed without delaying the early start date of next task.
or Free Float= Early start date of successor activity- Early start date of precessedor activity
Free Float= 28-21=7.
You can follow the below link for more details regarding free float

Answer is B
Float of 'C' = Earliest start of Subsequent task-Earliest Finish of C - 1
= 28-21-1= 6 days
By Jan. 27, C must be finished so next Activity 'D' can start on Jan. 28. Even if you look at : Float = LF-EF= 27-21=6 days is the maximum relaxing period you get.
Another way to look at is: You can finish as early as Jan. 21. So Jan 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 ( 6 days) are your spare days without causing delay to start the next activity on Jan. 28.
