I have passed PMP exam on 17th Oct . I would like to thank PM Zilla for bringing such wonderful site to help PMP aspirants. Surprisingly I could see my results on screen immediately after exam. Infact I am expecting results after couple of weeks.

Initiating Process – Moderately Proficient

Planning -- Moderately Proficient

Executing – Proficient

Monitor and Control – Proficient

Closing -- Moderately Proficient

Note: Not a single question from Professional and Social Responsibility.

Most of the questions are from RISK / Procurement / Communication / HR, few from other areas

Following are few points I would like to share.

• Prepared Rita Mulcahy’s PMP Exam Pre Book 6th Edition and PMBOK Guide

• Spent close to 10 weeks of time totaling 400 Hours of efforts.

• Thoroughly read Rita’s Book 2 times and PMBOK once

• Spent every day 15- 20 minutes to understand latest discussions and updates about exam in PM Zilla ( It is a must in my opinion)

• Practiced around 800 free questions from PMRoad Trip / Head First labs / Oliver F Lehman / PM Study – Scored around 74- 78%

• Followed http://www.deepfriedbrainpmp.com/ to understand concepts and confusing terms like workperformance information / work measurements / performance reports etc… 

• Purchased PM Prepcast from Cornelious Fisher – I did not listened all episodes

• Rita’s book helped me to understand concepts very well. 

Tricks of the trade:

Do not spend time to memorize all ITTOs ( I have spent less than 10 hours of dedicated efforts during my entire preparation rather try to understand flow of ITTOs.

Remember only Page 42 it is a must ( rather try to undestand)

Dump all ITTOs to one excel sheet and use filters, this is an ultimate tool to understand ITTO concepts.
