Query regarding PMP book
Submitted by balasg1984 on Fri, 09/30/2011 - 06:02
Hi All,
I have finished PM Prepcast initially and in half way through Rita's 6th edition.
Can anyone let me know if we can go with HOW TO PASS ON YOUR FIRST TRY. Edition 3 by Andy Crowe
rather than Edition 4. Will it have any significance difference?
Please suggest.
Thanks and Regards,
Bala

Try to stick to just two core
Try to stick to just two core sources of material, i.e. When I prepared, I only used Rita's and PMBOK. Using many different texts will not give you a solid foundation as each author has their own perspective. Its not about how much/many texts you read - its all about perspective.

Agree with Bala
I will agree with Bala. PMBOK4 and Rita is more than enough for text. However try to give as many exams as you can from different books and different websites. That will surely help you.

Read one book ten time rather than ten books one time.. :-)
Thorough study of any one of these books will make you pass. After all they are all written by experts. Just make sure to attempt lot of questions to fine tune your understanding. After all, thats what you need to do in exam. Best of luck.
