PMP Aspirant Working moms - Please Note.... :)

It was a looong journey...... And, I became a PMP yesterday on first attempt ; securing Proficient on 2 process groups and Moderately proficient on others !

- Reference books used - PMBOK, Rita, Andy Crowe & PMKC
- Attempted lots of mock tests - PMStudy,Oliver Lehmann, Headfirst,Andy Crowe,PMKC,Edwell,Rita etc. I    liked "Edwell" the most just because it tests the depth of fundamentals. My score on mock exams were around 74%-76% during the last week of preparation.Used to analyse, understand and make notes of wrong answers which helped me to increase score to 75% from the inital ones around 55-65%.
- Tried to understand the concepts than mugging up ITTOs...
- Notes by Rajesh Nair helped to a great extent in revising the whole content on last 3 days.

- Make sure to have the exam scheduled before you finalise the study plan. It so happened to me that the preparation had stared & in the middle I realised the earliest exam slot I could have was almost four months down the lane. And I could not keep us the pace for long.

Finally....... ..................this goes to all "PMP Aspirant Working moms" out there.....
"PMP exam is NOT tough ; but the exam preparation definetely IS"                                                              Be prepared to face interruptions and delays from your study plan; Nevertheless, dont't lose hope .... whenever you get oppurtunity & time, give your best !

Thanks to PMZilla and all the good people who shared their PMP exeperiences through this forum.

Congrats on your success! Is the level of the actual exam comparable to the mock tests which you took? or tougher than that.

Im taking the exam on 11th August and am a little nervous now.

Thanks

Nidhi
