Preparing for three major KAs!
Submitted by vishalharshvardhan on Mon, 08/01/2011 - 07:20
Hello:
I am just 20 days away from the exam and failing miserably in questions on Risk, Procurement, and Quality and as per few successful PMP friends, these three contain not less than 50-60% of the total questions.
I am referring to Andy Crowe, Head 1st and Rita. I have also subscribed to UCertify but that is not helping the cause much. Is there any suggestion that I could get. I am devoting close to hours per day fro PMP studies.
Regards!

Stop stressing yourself with
Stop stressing yourself with bad performance in those areas but rather concentrate on the initial theory from the PMBOK and Rita's in those areas (If you using it. If not I suggest you try and get ahold of it). I am 30 days away and my high level approach was to understand the theory fully first hence I am on my 3rd pass on Rita/PMBOK. By around T-20, I will only be doing questions, i.e. clearing the PM Fastrack, PM Study, etc. Be positive!

Its ok to be stresed ,
Its ok to be stresed , everyone does get a little bit stressed but the real thing that matters is the level of understanding & confidence one has to clear these fears. No matter which book you are referring understand each & every thing that the book says dont keep any ambiguity related to the concepts. The process is simple solve questions, assess the ones you got wrong for doing that read that theorys section again & make sure you understand why you made the mistake or which part of the question you were unable to understand because sometimes you have the knowledgeof the answer but its about understanding the question properly thats required. Its not so difficult & even you know that , I am sure by now you have understood a major part of the theory all you need to do is just understand the reamaining part properly.
Best of luck
