Need softcopy of PMBOK 4th edition

I am preparing for PMP examination. I had completed my 35 pdu's from (Astrowix-India) in 2009.

 Hi,

Though I am not 100% sure about this, but today I had downloaded PM Handbook from PMI.org web site for getting more information about validity period of 35 contact hours. 

The PM Handbook does not specify any validity period/expiry period but it only indicates that the applicant must have acquired 35 contact hours prior to application for PMP certification. 

Still I thank you for your reply and also if you have any links/webpages from any authorized sources indicating validity period of 1 year for 35 contact hours then please forward/feedback in the pmzilla column. 

Based on this I may need to acquire again 35 pdu's.

I have done 4 days course from QAI  and we have been told that  35hrs PDU certificate will be valid for 1 year.

Hi All,

 

As per what I know, PMI does not mention an expiry or validity for contact hours. They say in the "PMP Handbook" ( http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/PDF/Certifications/pdc_pmphandb... ), page 8, under the section "Contact Hours for Project Management", that you have to "record all education hours REGARDLESS of when they were accrued."

 

This means that they don't care when you got the contact hours, whether it was a year, 5 years, or 10 years ago. The important thing is that you have them.

 

I have searched the entire document for another mention on the validity of contact hours and found none, so this means that contact hours NEVER expire.

 

However,  PMP membership validity is one year from the date of enrolment with PMI.

 

I hope that others can pitch in on this question as well.

Hi, 

 

You application is valid for 1 years and in a years u can apear in axam for 3 times. for the next year if ur not succecced , then u will have to go with same process .. it means  u  've to get another 35 hrs ..... think about PMP certifed  they have to get 60 PDU in every 3 yaers in any case ..
