Need Comprehensive Source on PMP Formulas-need your advise

Vijay_PMP's picture

Dear PMP Experts,

I have started studying Rita Mulcahy for PMP exam and right now I am in Integration Management chapter. I am encountering with simple multiple formulas and calculations. Also, I know that we have formulas and calculations for the next knowledge areas too. So, in order to study and memorize these formulas I see you guys help.

I have below questions, please help me by answering those.

1. What is the recommended way to learn these formulas, so that I won't forget in the exam?

2. This forum has formula list provided in one of the posts. Does this list is sufficient for the exam?

3. If the question #2 is not true, what would be alternative? I am ready to buy if any good resource available online which is sufficient for the exam.

4. As I mentioned above, I am already having brand new Rita Mulcahy book, and the formula provided in that book should be sufficient enough for the exam or I should/Must buy any additional resource so that I would be comfortable in the exam w.r.t PMP formulas.

Please advise.

Regards,

Vijay

Dear Vijay

Everyone will have their own learning style, I will post my way of doing

1. Forumulas can be memorized and then practice questions regularly so you know how to apply them.  When i went for PMP exam i wrote all formulas on blank sheet so I dont have to remember them

2.  Yes the forumla list provided on PMZilla is sufficient for PMP exam

3.  Rita's book is enough, along with PMBoK. You can take free mock test from reputed sources. Check out the resources on PMZilla , we have spent lot of time to collate these and keep in one place. Also we have only listed the good ones so that PMP aspirants are not overwhelmed.

I am seeing you are too much worried about formulas, practically speaking if you know the ones list on PMZilla you are covered for PMP. If any odd question comes , it will not impact your final score as much , so you dont have to worry

Thanks Admin for providing this insight.

Let me go through the formulas provided in PMZilla first and let me come back to you, if i have any questions and clarifications.

By the way, I appreciate the encouragement you guys provide.

Thanks again.
