PMP Application Process? Tracking expriences question?

I would like to understand a few things regarding the PMP application process.
a) how far back in time can we go when populating project management expereicnes - 7 yrs from now?
b) Are we not allowed to have projects within the same time frame? For example, I have 3 projects running in the same year.. only one of those counts for hours or?
