Last time it was tough to write on my PMP failure which happened in early May 2015. Today I am over exited to have pass this exam in second attempt with Proficient in Executing and Moderately Proficient in all others. When I look back I do not find my preparation was poor, rather I feel I was nervous and I did not realize how the PMP questions would be.

During my first attempt I did read Rita, Headfirst and PMBOK once and even in various mock tests I was able to score around 70% to 75%. Here are the mock tests I took - Simplilearn Free Test, Head First Free, Oliver Lehmann, Skillsoft, Pm-exam-simulator, Christopher Scordo, Exam Central, Pmstudy, and TechFAQ360.

This time I did not really put so many stress on myself and just read PMBOK and Rita once, with calmness and under silence and I realize that I overlooked lots of important lines which I felt I saw in the exam. This is one trick to pass the exam, i.e. read PMBOK at least once carefully with open mind. Among the mock tests I decided to go with just Rita Fast Track and Pmzest tests and I found them tough and it helped me to remove many of my gaps. I would highly recommend both these mock tests. Also, I made small notes on paper when I read PMBOK and I just gave a quick read daily for last 10 days.
