Less experience as PM
Hello guys,
I just wanted to be clear on one thing as how much the practical exp. of being a PM plays role in passing the PMP.
For me,I have done my Engineering and then immediately after that got into Program managment for an Engineering services organization.I am having about 5 years of exp. but my knowledge as a PM is just in Engineering which is basically a very small area here(If i will be trutful-I feel like its project co-ordinator not PM).
As I go through the comments of being failed it scare hell out of me..As I am also scoring between 65-70%.I am sure people ho give this exam get confident enough and then take the exam as it involves a good amount of money for appearing for the exam.
Can anyone suggest me..How should I take it?
I am taking one exam on daily basis..reviewing and getting the concept right.
At the same time I am studing one chapter from PMBOK,Rita and Head first.
Is this the right approach or Should i do something else?
Any help will be highly apprecitaed..I am planning to appear for the exam in 2nd week of June.

You are doing good
Hello Nisha,
I had the same concerns before I had passed the PMP exam. You still have time, read PMBOK along with 1-2 reference book which you are already doing and take lots of mock tests. PMP exam has questions that have lots of real situations and there you will see the role of real project management. As long as you have handled projects for over 4 year, it should be fine. I had called Anmol Sinha who is from Pmzest on their contact and I really liked interacting with him, he boosted my confidence, if you want you may try that too. Just keep reading PMP books daily and take mock tests. Just do not break the learning pace. Don’t worry for mock test results and just keep finding gaps and gain knowledge.

Pre-requisite for PMP Certification
Hi Nisha
If you have a bachelor’s degree (4-year) then a minimum experience of three years in Project management is required. Minimum 4500 hours experience in directing and leading projects along with 3500 hours experience in project management. Ensure that if you are handling multiple projects, your experience should not overlapp.
As far as study plan is concerned go through the below link

Thanks

65 to 70% is not a bad score.
65 to 70% is not a bad score. you can do more work and easily increase your scores. highlight your weak areas and study more take free notes here from PMZilla and see some videos on the topic. You will make up for the gap.
Self doubt can be removed by hard work and persistence.

hi
just be cool & calm.
simple just read pmbok word by word.
dont read anything before 2 days of exam, just skim process.
mental calmess plays a vital role.
