PMI Membership renewal

Hey Guys,
 
Do we need to renew our PMI membership every year to maintain our PMP certified status. What happens if I dont renew by the due date?

PMI Membership and PMP certification are not connnected. you dont need to renew PMI membership to keep your certification active

You need to collect 60 PDUs in 3 years and then pay the fees for recertification.

Its recertification, because you collect 60 PDUs and then apply for recertification. 

Membership  renewal is not required

Hello Sanath,

PMI membership is valid for one year so it has to be renewed every year. As of now you may renew the membership at any given point of time without any late fee.

The PMP certificate is valid for 3 years and post that you have to renew with 60 PDU (Professional Development Unit) for next 3 years and so on.

Yes you can renew any time but you need to pay extra amount then if you renew before memebrship expiration.

Hi,

No you do not need to renew your PMP Certificate every year, but as it is valid for 3 years so you need to renew it by earning 60 PDUs

Hi Sanath,

PMI membership renewal and PMP certification maintain is completely different. You need to submit 60 PDU's once in 3 years to maintain your PMP. I would like to share a link to get PDU's to maintain your PMP Certification.
