SPI and CPI when project is done
Submitted by philzs on Mon, 01/26/2015 - 18:05
Guys,
I got many question right regarding a Post Mortem where SPI is 0.78 and CPI is 1.00.
The answer is allways, the project was terminated before completion ( here behind schedule and on budget )
But, what does the SPI and CPI look like when the project is not terminated before completion, I mean, what is the SPI and CPI when project is complete ?
thanks

SPI / SV at completion
SPI will be 1 at completion and SV will be 0 bcoz then all the planned values will be earned. Thanks.

CPI
CPI and CV could be anyhting, but SPI will always be 1.
This is becuase EV is the done work, and SP is the schedule work, so to be done they need to be the same. the scheduled work is finished. You may have pent to much so CPI<1 or save money to complete it CPI>1, or cost have hit your budget and CPI=1
