Some tricks on ITTOs
Hi All,
Let's collaborate on ITTOs and list MOST exceptional ones which helps us to remember (not memorize) ITTOs. Not all but where we can make exceptions with words ALL, ONLY, EXCEPT, SAME etc . Please add yours. (I know there is an article for PMBOK v4)
INPUTS
Project Management Plan is Input of ALL Planning Processes (Processes those create KA Plans. Eg. Cost Mng Plan, HR Mng Plan etc.) and ALL Closing Processes.
POW (Project Management Plan, Organizational Process Assets, Work Performance Information) is Input of ALL Monitoring and Controlling
ALL Planning, Executing Processes have own Knowledge Area Plan (eg. Cost Management Plan for Cost Management KA) as Input
TOOLS and TECHNIQUES
Expert Judgment TT of ALL Integration Mng. Processes
Expert Judgment TT of ALL Cost Mng. Processes EXCEPT Control Costs
Expert Judgment TT of ALL Risk Mng. Processes EXCEPT Control Risks
Expert Judgment TT of ALL Stakeholder Mng. Processes EXCEPT Manage Stakeholder Management
Meetings TTs of ALL Planning Processes EXCEPT Develop Project Management Plan
Develop Project Charter and Develop Project Management Plan have SAME TTs and ONLY Expert Judgment and Facilitation Technique
Control Scope has ONLY ONE TT: Variance Analysis
Plan Schedule Management and Plan Cost Managment and Plan Risk Management and Plan Stakeholder Management and Close Project or Phase have SAME TTs: Expert judgment, Meetings, Analytical Techniques

Change Requests is Output of ALL Monitoring and Controlling Processes
Organizational Process Assets Updates is Output of ALL Closing Processes
ONLY ONE Planning Process has Change Requests as Output and it is Plan Procurement Management
Project Management Plan Updates is Output of ALL Monitoring and Controlling Processes EXCEPT Validate Scope
Project Management Plan Updates is Output of ALL Executing Processes EXCEPT Develop Project Team
Project Document Updates is Output of ALL Executing, Monitoring and Controlling Processes EXCEPT Acquire Project Team, Develop Project Team
Organizational Process Assets Updates is Output of ALL Monitoring and Controlling Processes EXCEPT Monitor and Control Project Work, Perform Integration Change Control, Validate Scope
COMBINED ITTO
Plan Schedule Management and Plan Cost Managment and Plan Risk Management have ALMOST SAME Inputs and Outputs: Project Management Plan, Project Charter, EEF, OPA (except for Risk Register and appropriate outputs)
OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS
You MUST understand differences and relationships;
- Between Perform Quality Assurance and Control Quality
- Between Quality Audit and Inspection
- Between Procurement Performance Reviews and Inspection and Audits and Procurement Audits in Procurements KA
- Project Management Information System and Project Management Software and Information Management System and Organizational Process Assets and Project Files and Project Records and Enterprise Environmental Factors
- Remembering that can avoid some confusions: Risk Register is INPUT to all 'Estimate ...' processes and Estimation resulting processess those are Develop Schedule, Determine Budget. (Note that also others some processes)
