Advice

Hi Friends,

I'll be appearing for PMP on Sept 11, 2014, but am not prepared for the exam.

I had taken the contact classes last year in August, but due to personal engagements, I could not prepare well. Now, with less than a month's time, I'm really nervous and not prepared for the exam.

Please suggest if attending the PDUs again would benefit me and help in preparing. Any suggestions/guidance or tips are much needed. Please help.

Thanks,

You can postpone the exam to a convenient date . Attending PDU session may not help. you need to spend time yourself understanding the topics and answering mock tests.

Hi,

I can not do that, since that's the last date for me to appear. My enrollment would expire, so, better than not appearing, I've to appear.

That's why I'm planning to re-attend as that would brush-up and act as a refresher.

My son-in-law did the online PMP Prep at PMStudy.com and passed first try. I recommend it as you will learn valuable tools to help you answer the questions. Check it out as they also provide mock exams.

Sharad,
If you haven't yet paid for your exam, don't worry about the time constraint. If you have paid for it then yes, you must take it or lose your money. If you stay focused on your studies you can make it. If you haven't read PMI's criteria, please see http://www.pmi.org/Certification/~/media/PDF/Certifications/pdc_pmphandb.... Good luck!

Full disclosure - I work for PMstudy and have been with them 5+ years teaching PMP prep among other training classes :) If you don't need the PDUs and want to know if you are ready for the PMP, take the FREE full-length simulated exam at the PMstudy.com site. If nothing else it is free additional practice. We typically recommend aiming for 75%+ on the simulated exam to know you are ready for the real exam. You will receive full diagnostics on how you did on the simulated exam so you know where to focus your studies. Besides knowing the materials, stay confident - you can do it :) All the best for your exam!
