Dear All,
Eventually I passed my PMP that too in first attempt. Now I was trying to get enrolled and clear it from last 5 years but only this year in April 2014, I did the courageous thing by taking PMP classes and afterward PMI membership. In June I decided to book a slot in Gurgaon Prometric center for 30 July.
Now on preparation front, I am regular working guy, so barring saturdays and sundays (half of which got consumed by my two small daughters), I didnt get much time. But I did lot of online testing and on questions which I could not go thru I refereed PMI book and Google for better understanding. However I never get more than 76% of marks on any of the exam so far. I guess most of the exams available online or kind of tough as compared to PMI.
Now what material I used
1) PMBOK -- this is must and shud be read at least once-- which I did in bits and pieces
2) Try to go thru all the ITTO that will help in co-relating all the PGs and KA's.
3) Must to have is Rita book-- she is simply awesome and knew how PMI prepare questions
4) PMZilla for all kind of guidelines and links of questions
5) Questions, Questions and Lot of Questions

Approach
1) I used to do at least 50 questions per day and always went thru in detail where I did go wrong.
2) I used to keep a hard copy of ITTO so that I can cram them, but seriously that helped me relating various processes together, which otherwise was difficlut.

center
Gurgaon prometric center was awesome, they don't allow anyone to sit inside if you reach there earlier then expected. So try to be there just on time (if you dont know the way then offcourse please be there early). I didn't expect them to be so prometric centers to be so tough wrt monitoring but they are.

Questions
1) Most of them were simple but required too much of attention.
2) Better have good preparation in HRM and Risk.
3) Most of numericals were tough from my standard so have to go back again in spare time to recheck the answers

Lastly I cleared it. I am so glad:)
