Passed PMP today 25th June 2014
On Wednesday, July 25th 2014 after several months of study I passed PMP exam. I would like to summarize my lessons learned.
After successful PMI audit. I begin preparation, attended four days’ workshop. There are various study materials available however, you need to be mindful while purchasing. As per my experience 2 sources are sufficient for preparation. PMBOK5 and Rita Mulchay, you can also refer Head First if you wish.
I went through PMbokV5 at least 4 times and Rita Mulchay 2 times cover to cover, occasionally visited Head First. Solved all the questions from Rita chapter.
It was bit difficult for me as I have two kids and I work in EMEA hour still I used to get up by 4:30 am to spend some time with books.
I started practicing questions after finishing PMBokv5, Rita Mulchay helped me in filling the knowledge gaps.
Difficulty level of exam is very high so, do not underestimate solving few hundreds of question or reading at surface level won’t help.
My Scores during preparation:
Head first: 84%
Chris Scordo set 11 -18: 75 -82 %
Rita Chapters: 80 -85 %
PMforsure: 75 %
Rita Fast track: 81 - 85 %
Oliver lehmann 175 – 81 %
PM Study – 82 %
Exam Central -85%
I would like to thank Pmzilla members & Admins. Excellent forum, it has been truly invaluable.
ALL THE VERY BEST
Thank you

Congratulations! Could you please share the name of the boot camp you attended? It is nice to note the consistent message of earning atleast 85% scores in simulated exams for students who are aspiring to become PMPs. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
