Cleared PMP Exam Today with 4P + 1MP
Cleared my PMP Exam today with 4P (Initiation to M&C) + 1MP (Closing). Below is my lessons learnt hope it will be helpful for fellow PMP aspirants,
I prepared for my PMP based on PMBOK last year during April & May 2013 in full swing and had to stop my preparation due to personal reasons. During December'2013 i realized that my PMP membership is going to expire in May 2014 and decided to restart the whole process. With 3 other fellow PMP aspirants we started a group study of going to Rita Chapter End questions (2days : 1 Chapter), while this was going parallely attended my company offerred PMP training (everday mrng 5 - 7.30) for 4 weeks. Finally I had to clear internal mock exam to get 35 PDU's and that wasn't ready till February. In the mean time i decided to full use of local libraries and took Kim's PMP book, went through the same high level, did the same with Andy Crowe's book and went through the same high level. In February end cleared my internal exam with 76% (my first 200Q exam) and received my PDU. From then roller coaster started, below are my mock exam scores (all in last 4 weeks)
PM Study 1 - 77% (1st time) & 83% (Day before exam) - Very Good
PMStudy 2 - 84% - Very Good
PMStudy 3 - 81% - Very Good
PMStudy 4 - 80% - Very Good
Christopher Scordo (13 - 19) - 79% - 85% - Good for practice
Andy Crowe 200 Qns - 89% - Good
Head First 200 Qns - 86% - Good
Kim 60 odd questions - 75% - Very Tough
PMP4Sure100 Questions - 68% & 78% (2nd time) - Tough
Oliver Lehman - 75% out of first 100 Qns. - Very Tough
Rita Fastrack - 75% - Tough
Edwel Exam - 75% - Fair
One thing, i suggest to PMP aspriants is that there are lot of materials available which are not upto standard, please use only standard materials like PMStudy, Rita Fastrack, Andy Crowe & Head First exams. I bought one called Cert Champ, it was just the ITTO no scenario based question, i used it for hardly 3 days and did not even touch it. Please use local libraries if you are in US, they have most of the books and you can use for 3 weeks. I took all my PMStudy exams in Library to simulate Prometric environment.
I would like thank my famly for letting me prepare for this exam. Please reach out to me if you have questions regarding PMP exam preparation.

My Study plan initially was
My Study plan initially was going through a Chapter in Rita, then immediately followed by PMBOK in detail then will go & work on the chapter questions. I had opportunity to go through Rita's book 2 - 3 times, since i was part of various study groups. Likewise i completed all the chapters, then i had Kim's book which I went through on a high level with major focus working on the review questions. Andy's book majorly used for Network Diagram & Mathematical Questions (like EVM, EMV etc) and then focused on the questions in the chapter end. Apart from those, I did go through the below materials for solving questions
1) PMStudy Exam 1 - 4
2) PMP4Sure - Free 100 Questions
3) Christopher Scordo - All questions
4) Head First - 200 questions
5) Edwel - 200 questions
6) Sean Whitaker Book of 400 odd PMP questions
