Integrated Change Control process, include CCB?
Submitted by PMP Fighter on Wed, 02/19/2014 - 09:41
I am reading Scope secion.
I saw many times that terms - Perform Integrated Change Control, about the change of scope baseline.
Reference to PMBOK -
Controlling the project scope ensures all requested changes and recommended corrective or preventive actions are processed through the Perform Integrated Change Control process
I also read PMBOK 4.5 - Perform Integrated change control, The TT doesn't mention about CCB.
So, does the Integrated Change Control process include the approval of Change Control Board (CCB)?

Hi
Hi,
Perform integrated change control is a Project Management process group of Project integration management. As you said in PMBOK 4th edition it is mentioned in TT - change control meeting ( All Change change control board decisions are documented and communicated to stakeholders Pg No.98- PMBOK 4th edition.
And other thing in PMBOK 5th edition it is clearly metioned in TT - Meetings that "CCB is responsible for meeting and reviewing the change requests and approving, rejecting, or other disposition of those changes". In the pg no. 99, 4.5.2.2
so the intetrated change control process includes the approval of CCB, its mandatory.
