My hubby passed PMP with 3MP & 2BP last night, 17th Dec 2013
My hubby passed PMP with 3MP & 2BP last night, 17th Dec 2013.
What a great sigh of relief after such a long hours of dedication to achieve the chasing dream of PMP.
Last night phone rang & what a pleasure and proudest moment of my life to hear the results of passing the PMP exams. Thought this is the right time to post our experiences so that other aspirants too can benefit from this.
I had been a regular follower of PMZilla for the past two weeks and you guys really rock. The lessons learned section is really very useful. I used to consistently pass on all the lessons learnt from your forums to my husband. Due to the work load in his office and time constraint I was a mediator to transfer all the experiences from your website.
Coming to the lessons learnt:
1. Please read thoroughly PMBOK at least 2 times before taking the exams. To make reading easier please get the PMBOK divided and binded into 4 parts so that you can carry and read it wherever you go.
2. Reach the exam center at least one hour before the exam starts.
3. If anyone has failed in the first attempt then make sure you give the second attempt immediately within 2weeks time so that things are fresh in your minds go for 2nd attempt.
4. Don’t give up – nothing is impossible in life.
I would like to stress on point-2 for reason being the prometric exam center keeps changing. Please do regularly check the emails send by PMI with the exam center information to avoid last minute anxieties.
All said and done finally passed the exams!!
It’s my turn next maybe in the NEW YEAR 2014 :-)
Wish you all a very happy new year 2014!

Wow , this is the first time
Wow , this is the first time I am hearing on PMZIlla that spouse is helping to pass PMP exam, to the extent that you were visiting PMZilla and passing on relevant info to your hubby.
Great teamwork and congratulations.

Asst. PMP
I was wondering what is keeping you in taking the exam as I am sure you have gained enough experience while supporting your hubby with his efforts

Definitely I am going to take
Definitely I am going to take the exam in New Year 2014. My baby is small and my office working hours are my major constraints. I hardly get any time for studies but I am confident that I will make it next year.

Good Work
Wow. First time somebody helping their mate to pass the exam. Congrats on your dedicated and team work. Not sure, but just wanted to ask. Do you have any important material to go thru other than PMBOK which might be helpful in passing the exam. Any pointers will be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

PMP
Hi,
Congrats on passing the exam.
I took the PMP exam today and failed. My results were 3MP and 2BP similar to yours. I am not sure why my results says failed. Please advise how to take up this issue with PMI. Would you be willing to share your report to me (9srikant@gmail.com)?
Thanks
Sri
