Dear All
I am a Chemical Engineer and have worked in Operations Department of a Chemical Industry, for 2yrs and 8 months, after that i joined a Packaging firm in their R&D deptt. as a Chemica Engineer and working with them for almostr 6 months on various research projects.'
I want to go for PMP certification can you help me in making my profile as my background is from operations and research.
I will be grateful if someone help me in solving this issue

Welcome to PM Zilla. PMP certification is not specific to any industy. If you have 4500 hours of PM experience in last 6 years you can go for PMP

Dear I am aware this certification programme is for Persons working on Projects but I have experience of operations not Projects, although in operation we do Human Resource Management, Planning during Shut Downs and Execution during Shut Downs of maintenace work , While in my current job i am working on Projects....
So can i apply with this experience for PMP.

Please check if your experience falls under the knowlege groups , Initiation, planning, execution, monitoring or closing. If you have 4500 hrs of exp. then you are eligible.
