PMP Exam on 31st October

 Hi guys

I'm going to take my first PMP exam on the 31st October.

I'm currently in dilema about my preparation level. I'm having some issues with Time & Cost and currently doing another round of final study on this. Though, I've done some free test exams on multiple sites including prepcast, my scores not consistent.

Now, I think I want to do more detailed test exams, but not sure which are the best:

www.pm-exam-simulator.com/ or http://www.pmstudy.com/ ?

I saw some reviews that pmstudy is quite good for preparation though it has limited days for access. Not too sure about the other one, which is from prepcast itself.

Within this less than a week, can you advice which is the best source for final test exam preparations? Not too sure if 1800 will be good for me, or the pmstudy.

Help me... :(

Regards

Zammy

 Dear Friend,

I would suggesst you to go ahead with PMstudy along with one round of reading for notes prepared by u from PMBOK and ITTOs and formulas.

All the best.

Spend $60 on PMStudy to protect your $500+ in exam fee and hundred+ hours in Study.  PMStudy is high quality and as close as it gets to real one.

   i) Understand all (4 tests)  PMStudy 800 questions - very well.

plus

  ii) Google on SCurve questions

plus

iii) Practice Cost questions from other sources too.

You should be good for Oct 31

Thanks for your advice. I was under pressure when some of my colleagues have discovered that I'm taking pmp exam and thought I might not have enough times. Hopefully all goes fine and will go with PMstudy. Thanks a lot to you and also Vishwanath.

 First Step is be relaxed

Take up the PMStudy mocks

fill the gaps by Reading PMBOK

Try to put on 47 processes on paper in 8 mins n rest 5mins all formulas

Skim thorough Schedule, Communication, HR, Risk and Procurement throughly.

Last but not the least tell u r self Ill clear n see you ill be able to clear the exam with flying colours.

All the best.

Vishwanath

 Hi guys

unfortunately I failed the paper.. I was shocked because i did put in all 47 processes, and did put all formulas.. were able to answer all cost related formula questions but I think I was confused with the situational questions.

I will need to start back from beginning I think, and might go to different materials.

Am so sad now but life must go on and journey is still long.

is it because real exam is totally different from mock exam? which areas are you planning to focus on? which mocks did u follow? pmstudy? When I see someone failing, I lose my confidence coz my exam is scheduled in 10 days from now.

I think my problem is the situational questions.

it would usually asked, what to do next, or what you need to do first.

I memorized and written down all 47 processes

I memorized and written all the formulas, and able to answer all calculations questions.

I used pmstudy free (200) and pmstudy buy 1..

My most problems I think was my study materials.. I used video prepcast education video, but I didn't read fully through the pmbok guide. I admit that is my mistake.

As per other experts suggested, I should have read pmbok at least twice, before trying the mock exams.

Maybe you should do the same.

Can someone suggest, in the case of mine, if I should immediately reschedule, or study again the pmbok guide, read Rita's and only then perform another mock tests?

I don't want to fail again and I am targetting by end of the year, during december to retake the exam.

I suggest that you give it more time for prep. and sit in, or it could be a waste of your money and effort. You will do good for sure.

Good luck!

 Dear Friend,

All the very best for PMP Exam. Im sure you shall clear the exam with flying colors. Waiting for LL.
