Need guidance for my 3rd attempt
Hi All,
I'm Rashmi from Mumbai,INDIA... Have 6yrs of exp on Development and from past 1 yr was planning to take PMP exam and decided to attend Knowledge wood training ..By tht time Family got shifted to bangalore.. So thought of clearing my pmp exam as I was new to it..Had an exp in playing a role of Teamlead in my past exp..
So settled with new place for 3-4 months then started to study and tuk my exams on May 17th and before taking tuk more mock ups and missed prbs -part..Felt really tough and scored 1MP-4BP.....Then got really upset thought of joining job on my development but Since Aug 31st was last date for Pmbok 4th edition... thought finishing in second attempt and tried with 10 mock ups and scored 60+ 70...Then tuk exam on July24th.. was very confident abt exam.. but very astonished with results-- All BP's..........
Really got shocked and cried for 2days lonely @ home.. Now I lost my 1 yr brk in my development filed and now searching for jobs on development side... Since of 1 yr brk getting jobs little difficult..Now I have start hating PMP exams buks...
Guys...taken a brk of 1 month and now I need to clear my third attempt at any cost.. Kindly give me ur inputs plz..Since I ahve expiry dates till december 11th 2013...

Now I do have Rita,Pmbok4th (Need to buy Pmbok5),Head first, KNowledge wood (10mock ups ),Rita fast track 7....
Kindly guys who have passed plz help me out.. I'm in bad condition.. Here not able to get my development sides jobs and nor PMP exams...
But my future plans to move with Management side only...Help me out with guidances.......

Be Positive---You will Clear the Exam
Dear Rashmi,
Tips for Clearing PMP
1. Forget the bad experience but recollect all your mistakes and try to make a list of your mistakes, where you have gone wrong in which Knowledge Area.
2. Be Possitive and make up your mind strong as "Ill Clear Exam this attempt".
3. Start your preparation with fresh mind and take up as this is your first attempt.
4. Read PMBOK-5th Edition first with cool mind.
5. Make a list of doubts in a separate book.
6. Now read Ritas 8th Edition book.
7. Now uill be able to judge where you stand. this excerise will be hopefully completed by this month end.
8. Start taking only 3-4 mocks. Check your scores. Make a list of gaps in KA.
9. Re-read PMBOK again.
10. Take a Mock. Check gaps and then re-read PMBOK.
If you have any doubts post here, friends are here to assists you.
Im sure you ill clear exam this time. All the best.

Really thanks...Now no hopes on my attempt..Need to purchase all pmbok 5th editions buks... On other side Im not able to get any jobs on Php side based.. So struggling like a mad....
Sure will try out and If I start now will I be possible to take exams on november end...
1 and half month is okay... this month thorough study and october is full of mock ups with atleast 80-90% in practise test.. Finally I need to get clear whatever may be in november... u knw i lost 60K and now another 25K.... horrible yaar.. So my bro is going to sponser for my 3rd attempt and I need to clear ....

Please do not get panic which will lose your confidence by more than 50%. Secondly from your mails, i think you have PMI membership. till Dec 2013.
If that is the case, u can also download PMBOK (fifth edition) without incurring any cost.
Read Chapter by Chapter along with Rita(if possible) or any other book like headfirst, then answer scordos book also available free through PMI link. There could be subtle changes by virtue of edition, but it will give you much neede confidence.
Once you are through (after understanding concepts well / bridging gaps in knowledge) , u will be confident by doing once or twice, and then appear for free online mock test of 4 hours.
Work sincerely and surely u will be crossing the river undoubtely with the passion u have to do it at any cost.
