I also have my exam on
I also have my exam on October 5th.
I was scoring 72%-82% with Andy Crowe and Fastrack....
Then I took the PMStudy test 1 and 2 and scored in the low 60%s.
I'm scared to death I'll fail.
Have you taken the PMStudy tests?

Hi,
Hi,
Andy crow exam is an easy one. Rita follows her style. Pmstudy really test your knowledge about process and PMBOK. pmxilla tests are also similar ones. You should get above 70% minimum in pmstudy tests, though the results may vary.

The Project Management Professional exam is one of the competitive exams which you cannot clear by just going through the books of project management or by having 4 - 5 years of experience or 4500 to 7500 hours involvement in a Project.
It requires a lot of effort with sincere preparation, dedication, hard work, good knowledge of the learned concepts of project management and how to implement those learned concepts in practical situations.
I wouold like to share few PMP EXAM PREP TIPS here, which are going to help in your preparation. Hope they will helps you.

Just scored 70% on PMStudy
Just scored 70% on PMStudy test number 3.
The tests really are quite challenging.
As I was proceeding through the test, I imagined I was likely in the mid-70s, so I didn't do quite as well as I had hoped. Strangely enough, Human Resources is a horrible weakness... 52% (what??!!??).
I really want to wrap up the intense, focused study by the end of the day tomorrow since my test is on Wednesday. Wish me luck.

I think pmperfect is from
I think pmperfect is from christopher scordo . Though Rita's fast tract measure your ability on process many of the answers are based on her book. pmstudy, christpher scrodo, pmzilla questions are purely based on PMBOK. if you score above 75 % in pmstudy exams You are ready for the exam. Check in pmi site for scrdo book if you have not solved the questions. getting 52% in pmstudy means you have re-read the PMBOK.

Good score
Hi,
Is 72–75% a good score? Probably yes. But, for you, this is not a straight answer. It depends on few factors
1. which tests did you take? If they were overtly easy then 70% is definitely not good. Or, if they were difficult then 80% is pretty good score.
2. Was 72–75% first time score or repeat score? If it was a repeat score, it is not good.
3. What were your recent scores? You should be scoring closer to 80 in recent tests.
4. Are these scores in full 200 q exams? If not, then these scores are not indicative.
I have also written a 2 part article to discuss about PMP passing score.
* First part talks about history of PMP exam score and what PMI expects from test takers - 3 Facts About PMP Passing Score.
* Second part provides a method to determine if a candidate is ready for the exam or not - Best Way to Determine PMP Exam Passing Score
I have written an article that talks about the reasons for investing in a paid exam - 13 Reasons to Invest in a Paid PMP Practice Exam
In this article, I have explained why you should practice on a simulator. The main reason is that you get the feel of real exam by doing the questions on a simulator. You should read these articles as well. These will help you in determining if you are ready for the exam or not.
Lastly, I have written an article to do a detailed comparison of 6 popular PMP exam simulators. You can read and find out the best one - Best PMP Exam Simulator. You can determine what features do you need in the simulator and invest in the best one.
