Pune to Mumbai

Hi,

I am appearing for pmp exam on 30th.

I need to go to following test center from Pune.

 

Aditya Educational Campus,

R M Bhattad Marg Ram Nagar,

Near Kora kendra Ground

Borivali (West) Mumbai 

 

 I decided to travel by bus from pune to mumbai.  

Can anyone guide me on directions?

You have broadly two options:

i) Avail the Shivneri bus service from Pune Stn. to Mumbai. The bus will drop you till Dadar and from there you'll have to hire an auto rick to Borivali. Will take you about 1.5-2 hr in peak traffic.

ii) Use a private bus operator like Neeta Travels etc.. They have a relatively less reliable service(buses are often late) but it'll drop you till Borivali East on the Western Express Highway. Take an auto rick from there and you'll reach the centre in 15-20 min.

 Hi,

 

Hope you have not taken the 8 AM slot, if yes, you might have to travel a day before.

Most busses start from Swargate and pass through Hinjewadi. Say, you take a bus from Hinjewadi, there are MSRTC volvos which go straight to Borivali. Frequency is pretty good, and if you are taking the bus on weekdays, you need not even pre book your tickets. Once you reach Borivali, what I have heard is, Aditya Campus is not difficult to find. Its pretty near the Station.

 Are u sure of timings?

How come they are flexible now. If I am not wrong, they have only 2 sessions. One in Morning and second in afternoon

I would suggest go by KK Travels.. get down at Vile Parle flyover.. Take riksha to reach Boriwali-west. At Boriwali -west railway station - Geeta Lodge famous for PMP  people...Too cheap & cool. By Riksha Just 10 min distance from ADITYA EDUCATIONAL CAMPUS.

Thanks for the info. Funny no one seems to have mentioned this lodge earlier. How much do they charge for a night's stay? Can you pls tell the exact street and location?

Hi,

Just confirming. Is this plan ok.

1. I should book a airport taxi with KK travels start at 10

2. Get down at Vile Parle flyover

3. Take riksha and rearch prometric center. (exam start at 5)

4. Finish exam at 9:30

5. Take a riksha to come at borivali station

6. Catch a volvo by 10:30 or 11

7. Get back to pune by between 1 and 2 AM

Your plan seems okay. You might want to check with KK to see what time the bus reaches Vile Parle and then make sure you have enough of a time buffer to cover the travel from Vile Parle to Prometric Centre Borivali.

Pls note, bus services such as KK or Sandis often have confusing ways of specifying bus timings. When they say 10 am do they mean 10 am pick-up from your place, or 10 am on the highway. Pls confirm with them.

Just curious, why don't you take a bus from Pune to Borivali? There are plenty of them including Prasanna Purple and some other companies. MSRTC also has buses from Swargate:

It could cut down your travel time within Mumbai. Just a suggestion.

Go for the safest option.

For Peace of mind I would suggest reach Boriwali one day advance & visit prometric test center. Stay at


Geeta Guest House [Address - Court Chambers,"A' 3rd Floor,Opposite Moksh Plaza,Near Indraprasth Shopping Center,S.V. Road,BORIWALI West - 022 28658310/02228620419 >Near to railway station.


Travel Options >


KK travels [Rs850]- They generally have drop for Airport so ask driver to drop at Vile Parle Fly Over.


If you use Neeta travels[Rs400] I guess they do have Boriwali stop & its cheap as compared to KK Travels.

For Return Journey Book Neeta Travels Online as they have office opposite Gokul Hotel in Boriwali.Call them & book ticket to get exact address..Its close to Prometric test center.
