Hi all.

First of all I want to thank to my family and members of PMZilla (sharing their experience), and my dog as well that was every night waiting for me to finish.

I passed my PMP today. My scores were as follows: MP, MP, P, P, MP.

I started my preparation 1 yr ago, I tried to pass on Octuber 2012 but unfortunately I couldn't due the workload that I had. I think was because I did not study enough thinking it would be much easier (1 week before the exam), my results? MP, BP, MP, BP, MP .

My elegibility period was about to finish (Aug19th) so I had to apply for my PMP asap, then on July 07th I paid for my second attemp (once and for all). After that, I realized that I had to study for PMP 5th. I started to study again at the end of July...  Yes!! 2 weeks ago.

I took a Rita's course here in my City (Accelerated PMP 8th - by RMC) on 2 weekends (Sat/Sun Aug 3,4 and 10,11).. + I was studying for 2 weeks during the nigths (4 hrs per day)... +  I requested days off in my job for the last 3 days prior the exam (10 hrs per day studying and testing).

My preparation.....:

READING

• Started reading the PMBOK 5th (High-Level) - 1 Week


• 1 x RMC PMP Exam Prep 8th (During course) + Making some notes (Weekends).


• 1 x PMBok 5th again + making some personal notes by Chapter (Just Tools&Tech + Relevenat notes).


• Read once again the Most Difficult topics (for me, at least) from PMBok. (2 days)

MOCKS

• PMStudy Free Questions .. (1st time = 40%) -> After my study days improved to 80%.


• RMC's exams per chapter... 78% (average)


• PMP Fast Track RMC Exam Prep 8th - (100 Qs PMP) 80% .


• Oliver Lehmann 75 - Just to Sutdy not to score....


• Oliver Lehmann 175 - 73% (GOOD ONE).

TIPS:

• Try to understand the ITTO's instead of memorizing.. is better.

• From that link I downloaded the Process flow (free and available) and pasted on my room's wall (kind of weird).


• After you have studied try to explain yourself ...what happens in each process?  ITTOs? Test yourself.


• When you are able to understand the whole structure and the activities for all the processes.. you got it!!

DURING THE EXAM

The exam isn't as hard as people think if you understand the processes as a whole.

I arrived 30 min before to exam's time (08:00 hrs CST) so I tried to relax and user my experience from the 1st time... I just ate something (snack) and didn't drink water to avoid interrumptions.... Then I was there.. in front of the machine starting the 200 questions.. at the begining it was not difficult.. I could say they were easy.. The real problem was at the end.. I was in Question 160 and the remaining time was 30 min (MyGoood)... I finished on time and using until the last second.... The content?

• Many questions in regard to EarnValueMgmt (20).


• ITTOs (15)


• Situational Questions (70% of the exam).

So guys... GOOD LUCK.. you need to be self confident.. if you study you will get it.
