i'm planning to attend in mid September, but it seems we're among the first to schedule after the change so  please share here what tests do you know that have been updated for the PMBOK 5.

So far we have.

1. Pmstudy

2. Skillsoft (for those who have access through their employer)

3. The PMP Exam Prep 400 sample exam questions included in the book + the demo PM Fasttrack, for those who bought the book

 I am also appearing in August. I got my Rita Mulcahy hardcopy-yesterday. It would be great if we can all form a group and share our thoughts.

 

we can work out a planner and can all follow that.

 Sure. Glad to see good responses. I am in. Let me know your inputs in forming a group and we can implement. Hope that way we can get more valuable suggestions. Completion of exam itself is like completion of project and I believe team work always helps. So, please post your thoughts.

I am yet to schedule my exam. Prepared for a month in May. Got tied with tight schedules and couldn't risk attempting exam. As of now, just following PMBOK. How about you.

Guys - I'm planning to appear by Mid September and yes we can form a group to share ideas, discuss about topics and come up with a study plan.


I'm thinking about this plan and please let me know if this plan is too aggressive:


1) PMBOK - 2 times (read through) - 20 days


2) RMC - 1 time read through - 10 days


3) Tests from Kim Heldman 7th edition & PMStudy - Last 12 days

 Take more mocks...expose yourself to at keast 1000 mock questions to expose your gaps and get comfortable with how PMI asks questions especially the situational ones.

 Apparently they arent givng the 200 questions for free anymore on PM study.  you can get the 15 questions for free though or pay $25 for a 200 question exam.

To my knowledge, PMP exam pattern and type has not changed since many years. It will not matter much whether you use PMBOK 4 or 5. PMP exam does not ask direct questions and hence it should not mater much. Use materials of PMBOK 4, that would work as well. Good Luck.

 You have to be one of the first 50 per day to take the exam to get it for free

Most on here cant get on in time to get the free allotment of tests

Its worth the $25 to take the Exam #2

I checked PMStudy and you can still enroll for 200 questions, not sure free though. But, they are offering it for $25 for 3 days.


I agree, there wouldn't be much changes and still the exam covers questions/topics from pmbok 4, as 5 has emerged from previous versions. So, apart from few additional areas, the old exam pattern would still remain the same. Friends, any thoughts.


This topic is slowly gaining its attention. Do you guys think it is right time to form a seperate disucssion group or shall we continue providing our inputs/thoughts/suggestions here in this form.
