Organizational Enabling Practices

Kindly Explain what is "Organizational Enabling Practices".

I could not comprehend why is it important from PMI perspective.

Practices like HR, Quality, Facilities enable the organization to do their core function. Hence they are called organizational enabling practices. I dont think this term is used in PMP exam.

Does practice mean profession just as a docter practices or a Lawyer practices.

Still Not very clear about it.

It is not about this term used in PMP exam.

The intention of Questioning is to Understand the underneath Concept.

Kindly clarify.

 from my point of view, in the PMI context I would just replace "Practice" with "Process". You are right in some context "Practice" means line of business (LOB) or sometimes in product business it could be called as vertical

The processes that enable the organization to "perform" or "support", etc...
