PMBOK 5th edition reference study material
As I have moved my exam date from July 29, 2013 to Oct 03, 2013 due to insufficient preparation (scored low in mock exams), so I would like to know that if Rita Mulcahy's 7th edition will still remain the main course for preparation or any new edition is coming up? I would also have to give a thorough read to PMBOK 5th edition as I only read 4th edition previously. So my question is that will the same reference material suffice?? or is all the material and study notes available become obsolete? Secondly is October the right month as people will already be aware of the changes in exam by then?? Kindly suggest...

PMBoK 4 to 5 is not a big
PMBoK 4 to 5 is not a big change , read the PMBoK 5th Edition, it has a whole section on the changes between the two versions. Read the new PMBoK and if you have already bought other materials there is no need to replace them.
Mock tests will anyway be updated , so when you take the new mock tests you should be fine.

Not a big difference
Agreed, not many changes in PMBOK 5. A few additions in some Process Groups and one new Process Group -- Stakeholder Management. You shouldn't need any new reference material.
Good Luck!

Pmbok5
Dear friend,
Now we have Rita's eighth edition. There is not much difference between PMBOK 4&5 .But when u prepare for the exam based on PMBOK5,u cannot refer to 4th version. The study materials are not obsolete, but additionally you have to cover the new KA stakeholder management and other changes to PMBOK4
