Round 2...and I Passed

 Hi Everyone,

I am so happy to announce that I passed the PMP exam on my second attempt on July 20 with 2Ps and 3MPs. I couldn't have done it without this forum and everyone here. Words can't describe how much I appreciate everyone's contribution.

Lessons Learned:

Know your ITTOs. It's so important because it helps put the questions into perspective and also helps to understand which part of which knowledge area you are in.

Memorize page 43 of PMBOk. It was the first thing I braindumped onto my scrap paper. I found myself pointing to the stages within the knowledge areas on my scrap paper when looking for a reference.

Books I read the first time when i failed:

Pmbok and Rita - once each.

Books I read this time before my second attempt:

Rita and Andy Crowe - one time each. These 2 books go very well together in my opinion. Start with Andy Crowe. Reason: when you go through the book you'll notice it's more a "vertical" read. Within 2 pages, he summarizes the ITTOs for each process. You don't feel like your reading a novel and the structure of his book was very easy to make notes from.  Then read Rita. Rita elaborates on the contents and gives you scenarios to think about. The excercises in Rita's book are also very valuable.

Then i did 2 mock tests: PmStudy Test 1 ($25) and the one on examcentral.net (pmpexam10 posted this site). This helped me trained for timing.

I hope this will help. I wish everyone success in their future examinations!

Congrats and time to rest up and enjoy !!!
