SPI--?

1) In your project you had planned to have Tasks A, B & C completed already, however tasks A, B, C, and D are 100%, 80%, 0%, and 0% complete respectively. The value of each day of work is $100. Using the 0-100 Rule and the information given below, calculate the SPI:
Tasks A, B, C, and D have duration of 3, 5, 4, and 3 days respectively.
1.
0.25
2.

3.
0.50
4.

Planned value of work, PV =
Planned value of work, PV = 3*100 (for A) + 5*100 (for B) + 4*100 (for C) = $ 1200
Earned value of work done, EV = 3*100 (for A) + 0 (for B) + 0 (for C) = $ 300
SPI = EV / PV = 300/1200 = 0.25

PLanned value should be $1500
Planned value should be :
3*100 (for A) + 5*100 (for B) + 4*100 (for C) + 3*100(For D) = $ 1500
and EV = 300$
SPI should be 300/1500= .2
but there is no option for .2

Nothing is mentioned in the
Nothing is mentioned in the question about task D. We cannot assume that D should be completed at so and so time. Hence D cannot be considered in computing PV.
Thus, PV is $ 1200.

Refer to 0-100 rule
only activity A is complete per 0-100% rule..

A,B,C should be completed as per plan, so PV 300+500+400=1200 ($100/per day)
EV=300 (considering 0-100% rule, you can consider only A completed and it has dollar value of $300 (3days *$100)
Hence , SPI=EV/PV= 300/1200
0.25

I agree with the above. We
I agree with the above. We are at the end of day 3, hence PV=300+500+400 (first three tasks complete); EV=300 (only A completed per the 0-100 rule).
SPI=EV/PV=300/1200=0.25.
