Procurement settings

Dears, can you please help me understand what the question says? I can not even understand it.

The question is:
During the construction of a large manufacturing facility, the expected delivery of a very critical piece of manufacturing equipment purchased by the buyer, to be installed by the project's general contractor, was delayed by six weeks. The original estimate delivery date for this equipment was provided to all general contractors that bid the project as part of the bid documents. The bidders were specifically instructed to depend on this delivery date during the preparation of their bids. How should the buyer's project manager deal with the general contractor?

The answer is:
The project manager should inform the general contractor immediately of the pending problem, and request an estimate of the impact on the general contractor's work as provided under the changes clause of the procurement documents.

For PMP, such question would be of no importance. Please ignore them and proceed , else it will unnecessarily bring down your confidence and will try to haunt your mind for not knowing answer. Even these websites some answers but it si very difficult to gauge it is correct or not...

There are so many websites you have previlige of using for your knowldege bulding but most of them some times mislead you. Just follow websistes provided on pmzilla (free exams and links on top in home page) some popular websites for your mock tests, and just follow them.

This is my thought process and advise. May be it would differ from yours...

Sometimes there is no absolute Answer, Correct Answer is sometimes best available option. So If you can provide rest of the options for this question , that might give more insight .
