Do you find it easier to beat out competition after PMP?

Did you guys find it easier to get the actual job title and increased salary - as opposed to before where you still had lots of PM experience but didn't hold the certification.
Can you easily jump from one industry to another, lets say you were in the Telecomunication industry and you want to move into Mining. Will you still have to work your way up from the ground again?
Finally, do most PM's eventually look into Junior/Middle Management? What do most people aspire to after PM'ing for years.

in corporate world either you
in corporate world either you can do management or not. By Doing PMP, you demonstrate that you have required skills to do project management, once you get experience as PM, you can keep growing up the ladder and take up higher roles as manager , manage large projects, large accounts etc.
PMP is valuable in many ways including your own domain knowledge about project management.

It depends
I have seen many people after certifying for PMP, languishing in nearly the same level. Many jump out of the current role or job just because they feel that they have achieved something and that makes them hunger y for more salary/good position/role.
However, now-a-days, there are quite a few job postings asking only for PMP certified managers.
So it depends how much you value your certification yourself.
