John has been promoted to a project manager from his technical post and has also been assigned a small sized project. He is very excited about managing and delivering this project. Management has asked Midas, who has more than 15 years of project management expertise, to mentor him. Midas has asked John to create the work breakdown structure. Which of the following could Midas have told John while explaining why the WBS should be used?

A)To show the work to be done in the project

B)To show the functional managers for each project team member

C)To assist in communicating with the customer

D)A & C

I have answered as A whereas the answer is given as D.  Can someone explain the justification of D

 if you notice the question is essentially asking "why WBS should be used? WBS is used for several things and from the answer options given "D" makes more sense

to show work packages --Work to be done and to assist in communicating with the customer

 it should be D

bks WBS the basis of control account/ management control point/ PMB - for reporting information to SH.
