Report performance Question

 Hi all,

 

Here is a question for your  input

 

You have recently conducted a variance analysis of your project and found that the project is

25% over-budget. This is a very important issue, which you would like to discuss with your

project stakeholders. What communication method should you use?

 

1. War room discussion 

2. Face-to-face meeting 

3. Formal report 

4. Telephone calls and electronic mail

 

The answer given is  choice 2 face to face meeting.

What I feel is:

25% over budget is not  a small thing for any project. Such a huge change in budget should be informed the customer through a formal report and not  just by a face to face meeting.  Please  give your comments

 If there is a crisis situation then face to face meeting is preferred over other methods.  So in case you found sudden jump of 25% then its like a crisis situation.

 discussion with number of SHs at a time  be held face to face among these 4 options, also it is very important issue as contnts describing.

First thing is to do f2f, if u got gud negotiating skills there may not be any need of formal reporting to stakeholders. And this will save ur time so that you are "on schedule" which wont further affect other constraints as well.
