Bar Chart vs Milestone Chart

Hi Admin,

I have answered below question from PMZILLA (tough questions)  and looking for your clarification.

 

Q. You have completed the schedule development of your project. You have bar charts and network diagrams finalized. In what situation will you use bar charts over network diagrams?

 A.To verify the start and end dates of activity

 B.To find dependency lines between activities

 C.To make presentation to management

 D.To determine the critical path

 Correct Ans: C 

 But i have seen in Rita's book as  Bar chart is report to the TEAM, and Milestone CHart is to report Management.

 I agree - it should be Team based on my understanding. Hopefully someone can clarify if our interpretation is incorrect.

C is the best answer from the 4 choices given, not to say Bar charts cannot be used for other things. Of course it will have multiple uses.

If you read PMBOK line by line, it says, bar charts are used to make presentation to management.

RITA may say whatsoever (not disparaging the book and content), however PMBOK will prevail when it comes to such contradiction.

Just go with C.

 Hi..pls look for best possible choice. Any single tool can be used for multiple things. So here will go for C.
