Thanks to this forum, thank you very very much.
I was silent observer here, since 5 months.
Thanks for all the tips, notes , links, knowledge, information

My background;
I'am having total 12 yrs of experience in IT projects.
last few years, I'am involved in people managment stuff,

I was thinking abt this exam since 5 yrs, but when last Oct
my company set this as a mandatory Goal, then I became serious and tried all sources
to find more information abt this exam.
finally during Dec12, I booked myself to bootcamp. I found that before attempting to bootcamp,
you need to prepare/read at least all the chapters once

Dec'12 - Reading HeadFirst
Dec end-attended bootcamp

started reading Rita/PMBOK/FastTrack7
all feb. I was getting 60% in mock exams.

I applied for PMP exam, but it went to Audit
and it took 3 weeks, and I was myself end of April.

I tried various mock exams, and still getting 65% or so.
then I booked my exam to 2nd April, I want to be in 75% zone.
and thought whole march will give me that boost.

prepared/read/analyzed/filled gaps and did all the things which make sense to me.

No memorization of ITTO's, or any other things, just trying to understand each and every process/T&T

end of march I saw myself in 70%+ zone, and
took off for 2 days from work and focused on critical mock and serious reading.

I was reading and filling my gaps, even 1 hrs before the exam :)
it was never a enough.

Finally in exam:
Didn't noted page 43, (since I pretty much understood it and it was in my mind)
noted few formula's, but even those are not needed.

questions are of medium length -3-5 lines, with various levels of difficulty.
calculations, network, covering all process groups and techniques.

I was able to complete it in 2.5hrs, skipped all calculations.
40 mins, was doing all calc and network questions'
remainings time, I spent in reviewing marked questions.

finally exam ended and I saw Congratulations ..... :)

Tips:
1) Its a tough exam, prepare well for exam :)
2) Understand each and every process group, tool and technique
3) Everytime you attempt mock test, note down all the gaps (write it down)
4) ignore the results % , focus on gaps, till you feel confident.
5) make sure you get good % in "each" process groups.
6) Create your own plan and notes, follow it, till end.
7) While preparing for exam, imagine seeing Congratulations screen, and writing this LL :)

Congratulations, well done and many thanks for the update as it gives us the prospective PMPs food for thoughts and some directions in our study.

Wish you every success.

 Hi,

Congratulations on passing the PMP exam.

Its really great to see a number of people taking these mock tests available with providers like PMstudy, PMzilla, which helps a lot. It not only helps in remembering important topics well but also helps in managing the time while giving the real exam. The guides and tools given by these providers are also of great help in this regards.

Congrats once again....

Jeff
