Joint Application Development vs Quality Function Deployment

 HI All,

What is the exact difference between  the JAD and QFD? There are ample information available on net on these. But  I am unable to make out the difference between these  in an application point of view.

JAD: has many interpretations. JAD is a systems design concept involving discussion groups in a workshopsetting. Originally, JAD was designed to bring system developers and users of varying backgrounds and opinions together in a productive and creative environment. The meetings were a way of obtaining quality requirements and specifications.


QFD uses a series of matrices which documents the information collected and developed and represent the team's plan for a product
