Reviewing of Risks

Identifying the Risks is an iterative process and looked upon continuously  which is well understood and need to be because of uncertain environment being sorrounded while executing the projects.

The point here is Checklist analysis (TT for Risk Identification, Page - 287), it says that Check list needs to be reviewed during Project Closure. and the purpose is for future projects.

Is it not something strange??

Can I know what could be intention of the PMBOK guide authors behind this?

 LL

Its a opa document

which should be updated

as you are referring for your project, in future can be reffered with your project inputs too.

Probably I could not communicate properly earlier.

why this need to be updated at Project closure only.   It is a continuous  reassessing process and any corrective measures has to be updated in M & C itself as risk mgt does not have any processes in direct and manage execution.

Ofcourse LL will be done as a part of closure activity and for future reference also

The purpose would be to update checklist in case there are any missing items. Now since you have executed the project, you know what risks materialized which were not identified, hence you fill the gap by updating the checklist, so that in future projects you do a better job.
