#1 B. Because it seems that the imposed deadline has to be met... the question says 'meet that milestone'. So activity B should be crashed. Not sure if activities H and J can be fast tracked esp if it's an FS relnship between these two.
#2 C. Activity H because C-E-H seems to be the critical path. Either C or H can be shortened but H has greater scope of compression, so H.
Q1- is telling that activity G is constrained by an outside delivary, if you add additional source to B , G can not completed earlier, because of outside delivary constraint.
hence H and J is right answer. option D
Q 2 - Option C is correct - because option D - activity C can not move it further, because activity E is depend on activity B also. there will be no impact on shortening C . Hence H will be shorten.

In both qns correct option
In both qns correct option is D
in 1st q ---- middle one is critical and up G u cant expedite, hence H and j can be .
in second q --- critical path is c e f, and e f is common for other non critical hence take C.

For the first question the
For the first question the answer given was B (Move more resources to activity B)
and the explanation is as below:
"You need to select an activity on the path with activity G. This will allow activity G to start and finish earlier, meeting the milestone"
I am not clear with the explanation

Q1
option B and D will shorten the project length but only option B can help in meeting milestone.
option A and C will not help as these activity is not on critical path as of now.
