Only C and D are belong to leadership skill but the Best is Participating. So C is answer.

Do u remember some short questions like that?

According to me its B , its Selling ,

A leader should be exper enough to sell his idea since its a innovative product .

 Dear Friend,

         Answer is C

Regards,

Vishwanath

i totally agree with either C or D

based on Leadership Styles in the Hersey-Blanchard , Situational Leadership Model

Delegating Style—

allowing the group to take responsibility for task  decisions; this is a low-task, lowrelationship style.

• Participating Style—

emphasizing shared ideas and participative decisions on task directions; this is a low-task, highrelationship style.

• Selling Style— two way communication

explaining task directions in a supportive and persuasive way; this is a hightask, high-relationship style.

• Telling Style— one way communication

giving specific task directions and closely supervising work; this is a hightask, low-relationship style.

Thank you for clarifying the concepts of Hersey-Blanchard on telling, selling, delegating and particpating style.

I agree with Answer A.

Innovation needs the individual to think independently and try to arrive at desired results. Project Management can guide him for the support intermittently.

 IMO

it should be A.

Because it is an INNOVation or INNOVAtive Project, and working staff could not participate in decesion making. - so no delegating no participating.

Selling may be little motivative.

But best is A, Leader has new ideas and concepts and he will direct and play for all decesions.

In a participating and supporting management style, both the leader and the subordinate participate in the decision-making process. An example of this style is that of a laboratory director leading his lead research biologist. He actively seeks out the biologist’s input but otherwise allows his subordinate to define the tasks that must be completed. This management style is not task specific.

D. Delegation, IMHO

Please refer to: http://www.cxacademy.org/leadership-for-innovation-requires-a-certain-leadership-style-do-you-have-what-it-takes.html

An Empowering type of leadership gives freedom of thought to team members. Free and independent thinking are critical to innovation. Delegation leads to empowering.

Since its Innovation project, correct answer is C.
