PMP exam based on 5th edition of PMBOK

I see lots of sites are mentioning that exam will be changing from 31st july, 2013 to 5th edition of PMBOK.

But I don't see any update on PMI site. Will there be any official update before this change?

Any idea on how similar transition happened prior to this (3rd to 4th)?

 I am preparing for the exam and planning for the month of May-June, really worried!!

Hello Friend,

 

Please don't worry. If you are writing this exam in May-June time frame, PMI will not change to the new exam till July 31st, 2013. I am planning on writing my exam in April and even spoke to Customer Service and according to them there will be no change till July 31, 2013. So kindly relax and study hard for the exam.

 I too have email confirmation from PMI that the exam is based on PMBOK4 until July 31st 2013. You have lots of time to prepare, and even time left over for a second chance. Dont worry
