help me explain answer?
You are working as a research assistant studying the growth of bacteria under different environmental conditions. Based on your experiments, you conclude that the longevity of bacteria increases as the temperature increases. What type of diagram can you use to illustrate your observation?
1. Control chart
2. Run chart
3. Scatter diagram
4. Histogram

BQuestion having 2 data. one
B
Question having 2 data. one is function of other like y = f (x), where x = temprature and y is the longetivity.
the relation is more clear like y = nx, where is a multiplying factor like -- 2, 3, 4 .........
Option 1 - Control chart - you know , shows the specified limits for continuous data being observed of an parameter.
Option 2 - Run chart is study of trend of an process or event with respect to time are variation in any base variable . It will show a line, a trend , how function of x is related to x.
Option 3 - Scatter diagram is an analysis of 2 variable x and y , to identify a maximum output zone. It will not say that low temp wil give a higher value of longetivity.
Option 4 - HISTOGRAM will say what will be the longetivity at y axis for a temprature value at x axis.but it will be unable to give a trend..

Why not a scatter diagram
Why not a scatter diagram comparin temperature and bacteria, the relationship between two variables

Dear Mr Duang and Mr
Dear Mr Duang and Mr Paul,
What is right answer and explanation as per the source.
Because last comment by Ms Tina, is also admissible as per pmbok 4. ( p211,212)

Answer is C A scatter diagram
Answer is C
A scatter diagram shows the relationship between two variables. This tool allows the quality team to study and identify the possible relationship between changes observed in two variables. Dependent variables versus independent variables are plotted. The closer the points are to a diagonal line, the more closely they are related. Reference: PMBOK? Guide Fourth Edition, Page Number:212 PMstudy.com comments: We are talking about two variables in the question, i.e., (a) temperature - the independent variable and b) longevity of bacteria - the dependent variable. The relationship between these two variables can be illustrated using a scatter diagram.

thanx for quick response to
thanx for quick response to correct me .
Actually we should always refer pmbok.and pmbok sense
I agree with C.

Answer is C - Scatter diagram
because it is corelating between longetivity of bacteria and rise is temperature.
Corelation is best done by a scatter diagram.

Answer is C
The correct answer is C according to PMBOK.
Scattor diagrams shows the relationship between 2 variables. Here longetivity of bacteria (X) is one variable and temprature is another variable (Y)
