Took PMP exam on 18.02.2013 and passed with 2 Ps and 3MPs.

I had learnt a lot from the expereince that were shared by many. These helped me in gaining this crendential.

My prep started with Head First, whcih gave me the insights into the concepts of Project managment.

Then I enrolled for online coachng with www.pmchamp.com , whcih is a wonderful course.

My experience is that after going through the full course, there is no need to refer to PMBOK and RITA.

Finished off all the prep along with glossary of PMBOK.

Took my first mock with pmpforsure (free mock), which is a disaster. Then I revised the whole pmchamp material.

Purchased quick reference guide from pmpforsure, whcih aids in fast track prep of PMBOK. This quick reference material can be comprehended only if you read pmbok once and understand the concepts of Project managent.

Took the free test from pmstudy.com , came out with 76 %. Gained confidnace and followed the same prep again(i.e reading the again pmpforsure quick reference guide and take a mock).

Purchased the paid mocks of pmpforsure.

Read the quick reference guide , take the mock for 2 hours and anlyze it for 2 hours. Analyzing the mocks helped me a lot in my final exam.

Took 5 paid mocks of pmpforsure. ( score ranged from 65 % to 85 %)

Then purchased pmzilla tough questions. I felt most of the questions are common between pmpforesure mocks and pmzilla tough questions.

Finally the D day arrived.

I had downloaded the difficut areas of mine based on my mock analysis.( planning sequence, some difficult terms whcih i could not remeber properly, some formulae during the tutorial time)

i was bit nervous when i started my exam. Marked 1st and 2nd question for review. My nervousness increased. Then i closed my eyes and took deep breath for 2 minutes. Settled well and continued. I went at a very slow pace in the beginning.Answered only 40 questions in the first one hour.

Took a break for 2 minutes and started again. This time with increased confidance based on the type of analysis i was doing while answering the questions.

In the last half and hour, i still have 45 questions to answer and few ( about 10 questions) to review.

Increased my pace of answering by skipping the lengthy questions( around 10 ) by marking them and answed the rest in 15 minutes. reviewed the marked questions frist and then reattempted the skipped questions. Finally with 2 minutes left, i could finish off my exam.

I was nervous again and did not clicked the finish button and kept staring at the system. My time was up. Then i cliked ok.

i skipped the feedback and after few seconds, to my joy and happiness, i passed the exam with 2 Ps and 3 Mps.

My greatest lessons learned are, take as many mocks you can and anlyze them to the core, why you answered them wrong and what the anlaysis the correct answer calls for.
