Passed PMP 2/14/2013

Today I passed PMP test and its very happy I did that in the first attempt and that too on the last of my eligibility period.

Below are the points I'm highlighting which were concerns to me before I appeared for the test. Hope these will help those who are going to attend.

1. 200 questions in 4 hrs is too much of time, so never bother about the time.

2. I felt the standard of the exam pretty easy when compared to sample question or mock tests in Rita or pmzilla and pmstudy. Don't even think about the questions in Oliver lehmann. If you can make 80-85% in head first which was considered the easiest test in all the forums then I think you shud clear the PMP test. The sample test in PMBOK should also help.

3. Out of 200 I felt a couple of questions rather tough which were not covered in any of the books i mentioned above. So I feel they belong to those 25 pretext questions.

4. Questions were pretty straight forward and most of them never exceed 2-3 sentences. Most of the formula based questions are covered in PMBOK.

my preparation was just for 2.5 months and 6 months of long gap with 1 week brush up before the test.

Hope this helps and answers few of the questions.

Congratulations on your PMP.

So when you said The sample test in PMBOK should also help.what does that mean? Do we have any sample test in PMBOK guide?

Yes PMBOK comes up with the some sample questions for each chapter.

oh I do not see any question in my PMBOK pdf. Am i missing anything?

Sorry. Its my bad. I just checked the copy and I too dont see the Q&A as part ot PMBOK but actaully its a seperate book. If you have access to skillport via your employer you can access this book. Its titled "Q & As for the PMBOK® Guide, Fourth Edition"

Yup..:).. i was wondering how I cant see any sample questions in PMBOK..

PMBIK guide questions I tried, these are very simple, are you sure the questions are of such types? I am surprised PMBOK came with such questions

 Congratulations.

  Dear Friend,

         Congrats

         Thanks for sharing your LL.
